A medium-sized predator, it is an opportunistic<br \/>\nfeeder and extraordinarily adaptable to a wide range of<br \/>\nhabitats. Coyotes thrive in suburban, urban, and rural<br \/>\nareas. They will utilize whatever food is naturally available,<br \/>\nincluding small animals, birds, insects and fruits, as well as<br \/>\nartificial sources such as garbage, pet food, birdseed, and<br \/>\ncompost.
